Good weather makes for steady progress

We’ve been enjoying a run of warm, sunny weather, so work on the foundation has been moving along at a steady pace. Soon the first loads of structural steel will be arriving on site.

Now you see it, now you don’t

And just like that, major demolition of Mateer is complete. Lots of debris to be trucked away over the next couple of weeks, but here’s a quick look back at how the building came down. Enjoy!

The calm before the storm

Faculty and staff have been relocated to temporary offices, the building has been emptied of its contents, fences are up, and construction trailers are in place. In just a few more weeks, the demolition of Mateer Hall will begin, clearing the way for construction of the Ruth W. Williams Hall of Life Science.
